Dr Eva Gottfried

Eva Gottfried studied biology at the University of Heidelberg, specializing in genetics, microbiology and botany. After her diploma thesis at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) in Heidelberg on a project about cellular transport systems, she passed her doctorate at the Institute of Immunology of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich (LMU). Afterwards, she investigated complex cellular interactions in neoplastic tissues using 3-dimensional cell culture systems. She completed her postdoctoral research at the University Hospital Regensburg (UKR) with a post-doctoral thesis (Habilitation).

Based on her experience in biomedical science and a previous language training, she now works as a freelance science editor and medical writer specialized in biomedicine, health care, and environment. In addition, she is particularly interested in the topics of bioeconomy and sustainable use of resources to support biodiversity.
